Having worked with servers and huge workstation desktops for years --
often times with very loud hard drives.  I have NEVER UNDERSTOOD the
complaint about a hard drive in a laptop being too loud.   I've read a
LOT of complaints about the GRX600 series harddrives being way too loud
-- I have YET to think it's loud, infact I can rarely hear it at all. 
Weirdo's.

Sony is good depending on how you abuse it.  Sony support traditionally
sucks, the same as any other large company, go figure.

My opinion with Sony's so far?  You get from a sony laptop equivelant to
what you pay.  The less you shell out the more likely you'll get crap. 
But the high-end sony's are nice laptops IME.
