USB generates an irq, and i remember distinctly that If I wanted to have sounds working, I had to continuously move the USB mouse to give the bus enough interrupts so that the sound card output would get processed. If I stopped mousing the sound would get choppy and eventually stop. One time I was listening to a solo violin mp3 stream, and someone came into the room and asked why I was continuously moving my mouse but not clicking, and I replied that I was trying this new sofware that emulates a violin. She said, "Boy you are really good with that thing"... and walked out. She still believes it... ;-) -- ______________________________________ John Andersen NORCOM / Juneau, Alaska http://www.screenio.com/ (907) 790-3386 ._______________________________________ John S.
