I wonder why they didn't just charge (or discharge) one, then the other? I bet you're right, and it some wierd switching that screws up once in a while, but I can't imagine why it cuts out when chargeing is beyond me. FWIW... I had a power problem with my GRX570 when it was brand new, and sony took care if it under warrenty. It was different than yours. Mine would shutdown if I plugged the charger brick into the wall and THEN plugged the brick into the laptop, but would work fine if I did it in the other order. And once it shutdown, NOTHING would get it going again till I removed all batteries and chargers, and re-inserted the battery(s). Then it would boot.
