Off topic? Console font change after init starts...

I've used rdev to tweak my console font on boot (I like it small, 50x80 or so) and it works just peachy, until init starts (ver 2.8.5?) and then it says it is loading the default font, and BOOM! my nice 50x80 goes back to 25x80... I know it doesn't really matter, but I'm the kind of guy that gets really torqued off about that sort of thing. If I can get init to leave my 50x80 alone, I'm hoping that when I <ctl><alt><fx> to a tty console, I'll have 50x80, instead of the just plain nasty looking 25x80. Any clues? Some internet research had me go looking for setfont.tgz. I fiddled with it, but it seems to make its own dir, and throw etc, usr, blah blah under its own dir. And I don't know if this would fix things anyway. I miss slackware, when I could spend 30 minutes fiddling with console fonts during install, and could change them later (with fontconfig?!) Anyhow, forgive if this is off topic, and thanks if anyone has any quick/elegant fix. Sincerely, Dan ===== Remeber you're unique, just like everyone else. - Lily Tomlin
