strange sound behavior

Hi all,

Just wanted to report something strange I'm noticing right now. When
playing music (audio CD, for that matter) on my Vaio laptop, with
external speakers plugged in, the internal speakers *do* still play
sound. Not loud at all, say 5% of what it'd be without the external
speakers. I don't think it used to do that before. Anyone already
noticed the same?

Perhaps the detection mechanism (wether external speakers are plugged)
is getting old.
