lm_sensors - they are in there somewhere .....

Hmmm .. I have a Sony PCG-FR700, successfully running Redhat 9093 
(Severn) and running the KDE desktop.

Given that ACPI is working but doing something which I can't see, I 
thought I would try and figure out lm_sensors. Hoover, I don't even get 
past first base. sensors-detect comes out with this ....

Some chips are also accessible through the ISA bus. ISA probes are
 typically a bit more dangerous, as we have to write to I/O ports to do

I don't know if the problem lies with the fact that KDE's information 
Centre tells me that the ISA Bridge is a VT8235, which doesn't show on 
the list above.

I have loaded i2c-dev manually, but this doesn't seem to have made much 
dif. I am pretty sure that lm_sensors was loaded by default when I 
installed Severn from scratch onto my laptop.

Does anyone know whether lm_sesnors is supposed to work with Vaio 
laptops running Athlons?

As always, any information gratefully received.

Other than that, Severn continues to please. As reported previously, the 
Nvdia graphics drivers installed smoothly and I have been able to run 
dual screens (2048 x768). The UT2003 Linux Demo works fine under a 
single screen (although the Q3 demo seems to be busted ... later). After 
some previous information about XMMS 1.28 pre1, I loaded this up too and 
for the first time I can play audio CDs under Linux.

Its all good so far ;-)
