Anyone running Redhat (any version) on a Sony PCG-FX170? I have = successfully loaded Redhat 9, but have had some problems after a while. = My system has "hosed" itself at least 6 times. I have installed RH9, then installed all of the updates, including the = latest kernel 20-20.9. After running for a few hours, doing various = things such as mozilla browsing, evolution email, gftp, as well as using = the sourceforge pptp for vpn, I decide to shutdown and reboot. When the system comes back up, my root filesystem is corrupted and all = kinds of fsck errors are displayed. I get to the login prompt, but X = will not start. Looking in the /var/log directory it can't find the = driver for 'mouse'. Also errors reported about fonts missing. Has anyone had a problem similar to this? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
