No idea, but the easy way to find out will be to install the hsflinmodem package, and running the configuration script. You'll know by the results. Since you didn't say which distro you have, I can only tell you about the one I use: SuSE 8.1 and later definitely include hsflinmodem, and the easiest way to install is to go to the Application Installer module in YaST, do a search in order to locate it, and flag it for install. Not sure if other distros include it, but if they don't, you will need to download the package.
