Last ditch effort, you can try disassembling the whole keyboard and run the
parts through a dishwasher on a no-heat dry quick cycle. I've saved a X220
keyboard while traveling this way. If you Google around you can find other
people's experiences doing this with a multitude of keyboards. Sometimes it
works, sometimes it doesn't.
