You could try searching on Ebay. I just found a short adapter cable from the square (rectangular) power plugs to the previous 8mm diameter round plugs, and also an adapter to go the other way. Cost a few dollars only, from China. There are all manner of adapters on Ebay. I did see some right-angle adapters but I'm not sure what they were for. I can't recommend any specific search terms, but 'adapter' 'power cable', 'Thinkpad' or a combination might be a start. Just try typing into the Ebay search box and see what comes up. That's how I found my adapters. cr On Tue, 25 Nov 2025 19:42:51 -0500 James Cloos <[email protected]> wrote: > is anyone aware of a right-angle adapter for the (pre-usb) thinkpad ac > plugs? or detailed specs on what to search for? > > i always need the ac/dc unit on my right side, and thus the dc cable > has to head right from the thinkpad's socket. and i lost one > recently due to cable stress.
