Peter,
The Libretto 70CT has a PCMCIA floppy drive and a PCMCIA CD drive, (H45
Technologies to be exact).  Once you get past the first floppy in the
booting process the floppy and the CD are unusable unless the boot disk
loads the drivers.  I have a zip drive available.  Any suggestions on
how I can do the install?  I can take the hard drive out (I have a 20Gig
installed) and connect it to another computer either as a regular drive
or as a USB drive.

Jim, i would recommend Damn small linux, I set up an installation page
for the tecra 730xcdt.but the OS stuff will still apply to you and it is
the fastest linux on older Toshibas that I have found. Also, if you need
to boot from a cd, there is a section on my page on using a very easy
boot tool called Smart bootmanager. The URL is:
