Jim, you can install and boot Damn Small Linux to a USB Pen Drive so you can definately install it here. You can do as Charles mentions and do a network install or you could create an iso, put it on your usb drive, then, mount that iso file that you copied to your hard drive as if it was a cd to do the install. I do remember that smart boot manager will boot usb drives and devices and I also thought that it would boot a pcmcia cardbus CD/Floppy drive. Go to the Smart Boot manager main page and make certain. If it will boot the PCMCIA CDROM then you are home free. If you need more help with any of these options, pleae ask as I am not aware of your experience level...//peter
