I'm a real beginner and have no command line knowledge or experience, so
please be patient with my ignorance. 
I was 'experimenting' with the "K mix" sound because it defaulted to
"Off" with every re-boot. 
Without knowing how, I've got the sound to come up at boot-up, but it is
now mono, (right channel) only. 
Can you suggest a trouble-shooting "roadmap"?
