I'm willing to bet that P25s have a Phoneix BIOS, just as my P15 does ...
In order to get most of your laptop features, you will need to download, 
compile and load the "omnibook kernel module"

I kwon it may come as kind of a shocking surprise, but notebooks like 
yours an my, appear to be created by "other" company and just/only 
branded by Toshiba. You can find some really interesting posts on this 
list about that subject.

Here's the sourceforge proyect for the omnibok kernel module ("omke"):

Development for the omibook kernel module seems to have stopped as of 
2005/02/17, which is quite a pitty, given that there are plenty of this 
machines on the market (not only toshibas), but it still manages to get 
the work done.

So, basically, download, compile, load it using "modprobe omnibook" and 
see if you get anything under /proc/omnibook/

Now, regarding suspend to ram/disk, is still work in progress and may 
not work properly if you have an nvidia card and are using the nvidia 
propietary drivers.

If you ever need a GUI interface to acces some of the features that the 
omnibook kernel module provides, the give Ktoshiba CVS a try ;)
