Carsten, i have a 730XCDT and have written a page on it and linux for
linux 0n laptops here:

If you want a specific card name, I am using a Belkin 32 bit Cardbus
card. Also, make certain that you change in the bios whether you are
using a cardbus or a PCIC type ethernet card in your PCMCIA slot as one
is not interchangeable with the other. i had to learn that when i first
got this machine. If your card is a cardbus, change the setting from
PCIC to Cardbus and vise versa. HTH's //peter
