Hello,

I'm fairly new to Linux, just installed Suse 10.0 and I can use some
help on this.
Specs of the laptop:
Toshiba Satellite M70-148 (15.4" Wide screen (resolution 1280 x 800))
CPU: Type Mobile Intel Pentium M 760, 2000 MHz (15 x 133)
Mobo: TOSHIBA HTW00 (Chipset Intel Alviso i915PM)
Graphics: ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700 (256 MB)

What I did so far:
Installed Suse 10.0 but after loading I got a black screen and had to
reset the PC.
Read things on this forum and tried installing with xdriver=vesa. Didn't
work.
Connected a external monitor and the install went fine. Without the
external mon. the same problem (black screen). So I changed my
xorg.conf. The lower part where it said "radeon" I changed it to "vesa".
Restarted without ext. mon. and it went fine (got something on my
laptopscreen.

Went to the display settings and tried to change the resolution to 1280
x 800. Was not possible. Only 1024 x 768, 800 x 600 and 640 x ??.

So I went (after reading a lot more) to the root console and typed
855resolution (and 855resolution -vesa).

Message: Unknown VBIOS structure
chipset: unknown (id=0x25908086)

And now I don't know what to do next. All I want is to have the right
resolution (1280 x 800) and make use of the possibilities of the screen.

If I should give more info, just tell me how to get it.

Thanks in advance
