No, it worked 'out of the box'. A good thing too, because the touchpad 
was driving me crazy. Did you upgrade from an earlier version? If so, it 
might be a good idea to try a clean install, after backing up your home 
directory of course. I found ou the hard way that Mandrake's / 
Mandriva's upgrade auto-upgrade process is more hassle than its worth.
