[tlinux-users:07739] overheating and shutdown (for me that is)

This is all over the net and the long  story short in my case and i suspect
in just about all cases is dust blocking the cooling airway.

I have Satellite A75-226  ran fine for 1.8 years  then started randomly
shutting down under medium to high CPU load.
I thought ACPI, no not the problem here.

Read about the dust/lint collecting  on various parts in the Laptop
Took my  120PSI air hose to the unit, fans, heatsink, every nook and
cranny and all over the keyboard and problem solved, fans are now
quite, did full  compile of kernel 2.6.16 and fan stepped up only one
notch in speed.

BTW  Toshiba recognizes this problem and they have extended the
warranty on some models until  year end  2006.
There is also a class action suit about this problem.
Richards Computer (Atlanta, Dallas,  others) told me about the
extended  warranty, but the high pressure air  solved it for me.

BTW I would not bother with the canned air go to a tire shop etc.
and use their high volume air, it will work  better.

I will update this list if I start having problems again, but  I believe
I solved the problem by blowing the dust away,
Ps be careful of spinning the fans too fast with the compressed air,
you could ruin them.
