If it is a Phoenix bios, you could try the omnibook kernel module (or
the omke perl script) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/omke

I use the kernel module with a Satellite M40X-141. Most of the hotkeys
work, but not all (see my post on this list for details:
http://linux.toshiba-dme.co.jp/ML/tlinux-users/7600/7613.html

If you use Debian, I improved the omnibook kernel module source package
- you can download the deb at http://packages.kirya.net.
