I have related problem: Sound problem with FC5

The sound card detection application insists that I have an Intel ICH5
card, and therefore insists on calling snd-intel8x0 module. My P15
actually has a Realtec ALC202.... how do I convince it otherwise?

History. When I installed FC4 a year ago the sound card wouldn't work.
Last fall, an update to the soundcard detection application was distributed
and when installed, found the sound card correctly -- it worked. But with
the Core 5 upgrade that seems to have gotten lost again.

Clues?

Thanks
