  Hello everybody,

  I have a problem with my new Toshiba Satellite M50-228 (bought at
mediaonline.com:

  I tried to install SuSE Linux 10.1 on it. During the installation
everything went good. It recognized all the devices, incl. Videocard.
But he treatet the monitor as SAMSUNG LCD, or something like that.
  After the installation was done and Linux started to load, suddenly
I got the screen full of horizontal and vertical lines and nothing
more.
  I tried then to run SuSE in Failsafe Mode and to launch YAST in
textmode. It was no problem, but when I tried to configure the
monitor, it launched SaX (I guess) and I got back these horizontal and
vertical lines.
  I reinstalled SuSE one more time and I tried to choose some other
monitor from the list. But everything I tried went wrong. I still
can't get the normal screen.
  I tried to search the Internet for the solution and found nothing.

  If someone has an idea, what can I do with it, I'd appreciate the
assistance.
