Hi tobi,
It's "ectype" I guess.  No, I haven't tried yet. README says:
"Warning!!! Forced load on an unsupported machine may cause
 unpredictable result. You have been warned..." Here, "umpredictable"
means annoying (recovery on reboot) or potentially harmfull (permanent)?
Is it safe?
