My laptop Toshiba M45-S355 have Toshiba BIOS, but the module
toshiba_acpi don't work with my laptop.
I receive the same message as you (no such device).
This module is very old and don't work with any laptops (include with
Toshiba BIOS).
To change brightness, I need reboot my machine by Windows XP, change
brightness and reboot again to use Linux (SuSE 10.1).
