You can manually try it by running "acpitool -s". I am not sure how
to enable it in the menu - I have not played with Ubuntu much. But I
should warn you that resuming from suspend is where the i810 driver
gives me problems. Hibernate is a different story because the BIOS
handles setting up the video just like you were doing a full boot.
