Yes I hope so too.
But no change for the hotkeys in the version released yesterday.
My personal laptop is a Toshiba M70 with a Phoenix BIOS and
manufactured by Compal.
For my laptop too only some hotkeys generate
a scancode in the current version of the module.
I have been working on a new approach which successfully
generate a scancode for every hotkeys. It is not included
in the present release, but I hope to include It very soon.

Concerning the Toshiba M40X it is not in the database of
the module, if a M40X owner could post the content
of /proc/omnibook/dmi, I would add it at once so there
would be no need to specify the ectype.
