[tlinux-users:08066] Linux Powerdown: Undocked ok, Docked no

I don't know if anyone has ever seen this before, but I generally have
had great success getting my Portege S100, and Tecra S3 to run well
under Gentoo Linux, using the suspend2 sources (now at 2.6.17-r4). I
build in ACPI support using the Toshiba kernel module included, and
after configuring CPU support, I can change CPU frequencies and
governors, get battery status, and get CPU temperature display, (as well
as HD temperature display with the hddtemp program). I have yet to
configure my suspend behavior, because of the extra work involved.

In general everything works well. However I notice one odd thing. When I
shutdown from my Gnome (2.14) menu, if the S100 is undocked, it will go
through the shutdown process culminating in the Power Down message, and
then the laptop will power itself off. If the S100 is docked in the port
replicator, it will remain stuck on, at the Power Down message. My Tecra
S3, with the same exact config, will power off correctly either docked
or undocked.

Any ideas?
