Hey pip_squeak - Best option for finding out OEM info for the battery - open a terminal, and type "cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info". This will give you information such as current charge, when it tells you it's low, the serial number, and the OEM manufacturer. Chris >>> [email protected] 08/25/06 2:26 AM >>> Hi all Does anyone know who makes the Li-ion batteries in our vastly superior Toshiba machines? Toshiba are obviously capable of making the best, including batteries, but sometimes lesser-marques components get included, e.g. my Tablet Port*g* has a non-Toshiba HDD. But the Li-ion battery? Mine does not have the one-minute charge ability that the latest Toshiba cells are allegedly capable of, so it could be ‘Sony’ (the horror, the horror…) How do I find out for sure? Thanks - Pip Squeak
