Hello, a new release of the omnibook module has just been uploaded. See http://sourceforge.net/projects/omnibook. This new version introduce Wifi and Bluetooth adapter monitoring and control. There is improved support for Toshiba Satellite M30X M40X M70 and M100. Real support for Satellite M40, M45 and Tecra S1 is introduced too. It will be improved (real hotkeys support) in the next release. The most up to date documentation can be found on the project homepage: http://omnibook.sourceforge.net/ Thanks for people who spent time to help fixing bugs and submitting patches for this release. Special thanks for Holger Nelson for is contribution and for Julien Valroff for his work on debian packaging. And of course for Toshiba for providing technical documentations. Known new bugs: Wifi enabling work with ipw2200 adapters but not with ipw3945. Bluetooth enabing may not work. Satellite M45 hotkeys won't work. Next release TODO list: Ectype 14 (Satellite A110 and co.) support. I am waiting answers from Toshiba for this. Fix bluetooth and wifi enabling. Ectype 13 hotkeys support, second half: real scancode generation. Port old ectype 2 scancode generation (was not linux 2.6 compatible). Implement autodetection for ectype 12 and 13 as a fallback if the laptop is not in the DMI database. Long term TODO list: Drop procfs and switch to sysfs. Play with the linux 2.6 driver model and see if we can use it, for example by implementing a bus instead of the custom implementation in init.c Clean up implementation of some features (fan_policy, dump, battery, _apmemu_) -- Mathieu Bérard
