Hi! I have a Toshiba Portege M200 running Ubuntu that used to hibernate quite well if I just switched out or X first and pressed Fn+F4 when in console. However, lately it doesnt work. When I try to do it manually by running (as root) echo -n mem > /sys/power/state, I get an error msg that one device does not go down, and this turns out to be video card (when looking at bus id in lspci output). I run nv driver, Ubuntu Dapper, kernel 2.6.15-27-868. When trying the nvidia closed driver, consoles wont work so I cannot execute echo - n mem there, and when I try in X, I get error that Operation not permitted. Any ideas on what might be wrong, what to do? Magnus L
