Hi
I have a Tecra M5 PTM51 which I believe is supposed to support
Intel Virtualization Technology. There is an option in the bios to
enable this, however, when I start a xen kernel I get a message
VMX disabled by Feature Control MSR
After some googling I found this thread
http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2006-06/msg00545.html
which indicates that certain bits must be turned on by the bios for
this feature to work.
So my questions are 1) Does anyone know whether VT is supported on
an M5? and 2) If yes, then is this a possible bug in the bios and how
do I go about reporting it?
Cheers
Ian
