[tlinux-users:08285] Ubuntu on Tecra A8, ACPI error?

Folks;

just a short note to mention that recent Ubuntu seems to work rather
well on my new Tecra A8 (T7200 CPU, i945 graphics) notebook:

Ubuntu 6.06.1 aka "Dapper Drake" starts up well (just tried the Live CD
by now as I don't want to use it on my machine), most of the hardware
seems to be usable out of the box.


Ubuntu 6.10 ("Edgy Eft") installs and works rather well, too. Most of
the essential devices (ethernet, wlan, display, S-ATA controller, ...)
work out of the box. Sound drivers need some tweaking in
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base

options snd-hda-intel model=basic

as in the default configuration just the headphone jack works, speakers
don't. Suspend / hibernate is untested so far, same is the built-in modem.


Just one thing really is bugging me: My kernel log is filling up with
messages like this:

...
[17184770.548000] APIC error on CPU0: 40(40)
[17184770.548000] APIC error on CPU1: 40(40)
...

Even this way, everything seems to work so it's "just" annoying. Any
ideas how to get rid of that? Kernel is 2.6.17-10 (stock Ubuntu 6.10
package).
