I'm sending this again, as I'm not sure if it got to the
list in the first time (I didn't receive any answers or
the message itself -- I don't know if this list forwards
to message authors, so I'm sorry for any inconvenience)

I tried some things, anyway, and I got _some_ results.
In the /etc/default/acpi-support file, I uncommented the
"ACPI_SLEEP_MODE=true" entry, and my notebook now seems
to sleep.

But I think the problem is in resuming sessions. When I
tried to resume from hibernation (ie, suspend to disk),
all I got was a screen with vertical white stripes. When
I tried to switch off using the notebook on/off button,
I could hear KDE's typical log off sound. So, I think,
the problem is in the video, but I can't be sure.

Please, any clues to what I should do is greatly appreciated.

I have a Satellite A75 with KUbuntu Dapper installed on it.
It works ok, but there are a few things that I couldn't get
to work, and I was wondering if you could give me a help.

The one I would like most to see working is suspend. I have
KPowersave installed. If I try to suspend (to disk or to
RAM), it appears as it is working, and the notebook is turned
off. When I try to resume, however, all I get is a screen
filled with junk, and nothing seems to respond. Is there
anything that I can do to make it work?

My setup is: Toshiba Satellite A75-S229, 1 Gb RAM, KUbuntu
Dapper (kernel 2.6.15), 1 Gb swap, graphic card is an ATI
Mobility Radeon 9000. I would be willing to upgrade to Feisty
or other distro, if that might help - but only, of course, if
I can be sure that it will work. ;)
