So, I've got the same problem with the Hotkeys, in my Satellite A105-S2081.
The problem is that phoenix bios don't work with Toshset / Toshutils, and
with Omnibook, the suport is not yet full implemented (nothing implemented
really).

Search for 'Omnibook Hotkeys Ubuntu' and you 'll get some info about it ;)
