As already suggested, you might try the omnibook module at
http://omnibook.sf.net

I haven't checked that your model is supported, but you might ask
Mathieu if it's not the case

I maintain unofficial packages for Debian unstable (omnibook-source can
however be used  in Etch as far as I know): http://packages.kirya.net/
