That seems to be the case. Unfortunately, I didn't play with the sound
before upgrading to 2.6.20.
I have now built and installed the latest alsa drivers, set the option
forcibly to 3stack and then to auto, and still no dice. Windows gives me
good sound; under Ubuntu, the right channel is utterly muddy.
Anyone else have tips? It really sounds like a hardware problem, and if
Windows weren't sounding good, I would be at this thing with a
screwdriver.
Thanks,
