Hi All,

I installed Debian Etch on a Dynabook SS SX 490NK (similar to Protege 3000).
Installation seems fine except that:
- The only available vertical refresh rate 60Hz, but the laptop manuals lists 75, 85 and 100Hz.
- The only available screen resolution is 1280x800 but the laptop manual lists 1024x768 and 800x600.

The initial xorg.conf file used the DDC option to check refresh rate with the monitor, which resulted in only 1024x768. After reading the xorg.conf and i810 info pages I've added Option "DDC" "false" to xorg.conf, but as mentioned, this only partially solved the problem.

I appreciate suggestions ons on how to enable the other screen modes .

Regards,
Joel.
