[tlinux-users:08666] X Server backlight flickering on AC power

Hi all,

I've recently noticed some flickering of the backlight
when on AC power and running X. I have a Satellite P205
with 17 inch display. I initially assumed it was a 
hardware problem, but then I reinstalled Vista to see 
if it happens under Windows and so far, no flickering. 

Has anyone seen such a thing before? If this is
software related I am guessing it's the Linux kernel's
ACPI code. I haven't tried recompiling the kernel without
support for that yet.
