Well, I have a P100/BIOS v3.30, and running a 2.6.17 image with the DSDT
patch. Unless you really need that Ubuntu version, just stick to the
simple and remember that updates often take a while to propagate
through all platforms.
Also remember that you need the latest alsa-drivers to make the sound card
work =)

Do not disable ACPI at any times because your CPU might reach a peak
temperature and it will shut down unexpectly as a measure of protection.
