I have just tried this, and it did not work.

Using 2.6.22, Bios 2.40, I only need the kernel param acpi_osi=3D"!Linux"
to get sound and GPU fan working

Using Bios >=3D 3, I need the dsdt patch to get the gpu fan turning, sound
can be done via either dsdt patch or kernel parameter acpi_osi=3D"!Linux"

kernel >=3D 2.6.23, the acpi_osi=3D"!Linux" param no longer works, so the
dsdt patch is necessary for sound and gpu

Under all the above configurations, the command line option suggested
above (pci=3Dusepirqmask) does not work for me

I noticed kernel-parameters.txt says "This will have no effect if ACPI
IRQ routing is enabled."

I tried adding acpi=3Dnoirq, but the also had no difference.
