Maybe more details about the wireless network configuration should help. So= , how is it configured? Is it by any chance hidden? It's known that network-manager has problems with hidden networks (or at least it had recently). In this case, maybe changing NM to Wicd or Wifi-Radar could help= . What is the security protocol that you're using? WEP, WPA, none?
