Ah OK. :) I see the point you're making about the `uname -a` hostname
rather than any virtual/clustered/shared hostname...

Taking my own setup as an example, I have two physical machines
called turnbull and frobisher running as gateways [1] for the LAN, with
each being a load balancer. I'm not running any services on the
gateways themselves (of course).

If I want frobisher to be the normal master, I'm guessing
only 'frobisher' should be present in the haresources on *both*
machines, yep?

The UM3 docs might benefit from some clarification in this department :)
