We have a bevy of highly-available LVS services which have worked
wonderfully behind individual directors (LVS-DR; n number of real
servers behind a pair of UM3 directors).

As the number of LVS-enabled services have grown, the director pairs
have as well. We are seeking to consolidate the various pairs of
directors for each service to a lone pair of directors performing
rewrites for all the services.

This has not been smooth sailing. The best we can get UM3 to perform is
HA for a lone service. It appears that UM3 never adds the
second/third/etc. addresses for the services were looking to put in
front of LVS.

-Within ha.cf live the FQDN names of our pair of directors.

-Within haresources lives lines like the following:

dir01.ece.utexas.edu \
        ldirectord::ldirectord.cf \
        LVSSyncDaemonSwap::master \
        IPaddr2::128.83.59.2/24/eth0/128.83.59.255

(FWICT, the 'primary' director is configured to squat on the listed IP
address and forward/answer as per ldirector.cf. Similar lines added to
haresources with an altered IP address for the second/third/etc.
services never seem to get added as new addresses on dir01's eth0).

-Within ldirector.cf lives lines which configure virtual addresses, real
servers, and all the jazz necessary for providing LVS-HA for various
services (web, mail, whatever).

Any insight is appreciated.
