No, it is not normal. You should have only one ldirectord process. Regarding the load, the explanation could be that you are running 2 sync-master and 2 sync-slave processes . Thoose sync process each give a load of 1 (because some problem with "bad" code, uninteruptable sleep) on some arhitectures / kernels. Normaly you should have 1 sync-master and / or 1 sync-slave process running rendering in worst case a load of 2. This load then is really nothing to worry about, the machine is not having much to do anyway... it is mostly a presentation matter.
