Greetings, I have been using UM 2.x (with RHEL3.x and Apache 2.x) for some time so I'm somewhat familiar with its basic configuration and functionality. I was posed a question today, that I believe to *not* be possible. So, I'm hoping someone can confirm my "this can't be done" thoughts or tell me I'm crazy and point me to instructions on how this can be attained. We currently have 2 directors and 2 web servers that serve pages for http://www.toplevel.domain. Is it at all possible to "redirect" http://www.toplevel.domain/dir1 to otherserver.toplevel.domain whilst: 1) all other requests for http://www.toplevel.domain EXCEPT /dir1 are served by the two existing webfarm servers AND 2) keep the http://www.toplevel.domain/dir1 URL intact, even though it's served up from a 5th server (ie: http://otherserver.toplevel.domain/dir1) Thanks in advance! ps: If UM is unable to do this, does anyone have any thoughts on something (hardware appliance or software) that will? --------------- Paul G.
