Thanks, a bit of ignorance on my part. I thought the "amd64" kernel with a 32-bit Debian distro was just an optimized 32-bit kernel. Seems obvious in hindsight. Hey, it's my first 64-bit Linux hardware! Don't make fun of me. ;)

Appreciated.

Hi,

download and install the debian AMD64 distribution
(http://www.debian.org/ports/amd64/) instead of Debian Sarge x86 with a
em64t kernel. The latter as issues with iptables and so it seems also
with ipvsadm.

Another option is the upcomming Debian Etch distribution.

Sorry about the short cryptic message; kind of in a hurry right now.

Regards,
Jochen Billen
