Hi, I'm new to this list. Currently i work on a loadbalencing/hot-standby setup for a larger WebProject. In this project i have 10 Websites to serve. The traffic on one of the websites is unpredictble, so i thought installing all 10 websites on 4 servers and let a loadbalencer do the work. I may have to add, that the websites are basicly similar. The all use the same Database and have the same function, their only differenc is the layout and the information from the database which is displayed. So i have on each of the 4 servers 10 VirtualNamedHosts. (just for info: in the documentroot of each host is only a config file. the rest of the files are stored central on each server) After thinking awhile about it, i have a big ?. The director server is forwarding the requests to the 4 servers. Do I have the hostname on the servers ? if not i cant have virtualnambed base hoss (ServerName xy.host.tld) To make long story short: whil Ultramonkey forward the hostname information to the target server for allowing of NameBased VHosts ?
