Hi, can nobody help me with this ? any help would be much appreciated ! TIA Ludwig ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: [ULTRAMONKEY-USERS] routing Date: Monday, 22. October 2007 From: Ludwig Ruderstaller <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Hi List, After playing around the whole weekend i have my setup running. I am two little problems away from beeing perfectly happy with it. my ldirectord.cf looks like: virtual=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80 real=10.1.1.203:80 masq real=10.1.1.204:80 masq real=10.1.1.205:80 masq service=http request="ldirector.html" receive="Test Page" scheduler=rr protocol=tcp checktype=negotiate so the realservers have set the default gateway to the director. But i have 2 directors in a hot standby configuration. If the master is failing the slave takes over automaticly, but the slave has a different internal ip then the master, and so the whole setup fails. Is there are a way to set the gateway "dynamicly" on the realservers ? I use Gentoo and set the ip of the interface on the director to "none" and added his default route. eg. config_eth0=("none") routes_eth0=("default via [gateway_ip]") the only problem is, gentoo doesnt set the route if you dont assign a ip address. after the master fails or get disabled the slave director kicks in and didnt have a default route. is it possible to "extend" the takeover process to execute a bash file or similar ?
