I'm using CentOS 5.  You don't need anything that's not already provided 
by the OS.  You don't need "ultra monkey" for anything other than some 
documentation and example configurations:

Try this:

   yum install heartbeat heartbeat-ldirectord

Voila!  You'll get everything you need.
