monitor multiple IP address

Hi,

I would like o know if it's possible to for heartbeat to monitor 
multiple ip address from one node

e.g my server has 2 NIC, one is on pubic IP one is on private.


db-mngr \
         ldirectord::ldirectord.cf \
         LVSSyncDaemonSwap::master \
         IPaddr2::10.10.10.216/28/eth1/10.10.10.223

web-mngr \
         ldirectord::ldirectord.cf \
         LVSSyncDaemonSwap::master \
         IPaddr2::201.202.203.216/28/eth0/201.202.203.223

when that server fails i simply want to detect it, then takeover by the 
other server. possible?
