kernel panic after stopping

Hi,

I am testing whether if i stop heartbeat, the other server will take 
over. good thing is it does, unfortunately when i stop heartbeat on the 
primary server it crashes with kernel panic. i cant see much error on 
the screen these are some of it without the garbage messages:

default_wake_function
child_rip
apparmor_capable
ip_vs:sync_thread
kernel panic - not syncing: Aiee, killing interrupt handler

anyone who experienced this before?
